About Me
Matthew Williams is a Full-Stack Web Developer, with a background in front end and graphic design, currently employed as a Software Engineer for a firm just outside of Philadelphia. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania's Full-Stack Web Development program, and has earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Duquense University in Graphic and Multimedia Design, with a minor in Psychology. With past career career experiences in NYC/Brooklyn/Queens and Philadelphia in graphic and front end design, along with extensive back end, server-side, and database knowledge, he is able to be fluent and productive in all apsects of the design process.
Matt is fueled by his passion for clean and sharp UI/UX designs, as well as being able to write clear, organized and consice code to add dynamic functionality and creative apsects to every project or application he is involved in. He is constantly coding, learning and improving on new languages, and is eager to continue to learn and build on his academic and professional foundation as a well-rounded full-stack developer.
His determination and creative mindset has contributed to his most recent success as a graduate of the UPenn full-stack program, and his position before that as a successful real estate salesperson and media manager at his firm in Philadelphia. There, he led his firm's team with over $2.5 mil in net sales, as well as handling the drafting and creating of all marketing design materials, including emails, advertisements, mailers, and signs for owned and managed buidlings.
Previously as a freelance brand manager, graphic designer, and even as an associate water inspector for the NYC Department of Environmental Protectoin, at every position Matt has held, he has vastly improved the productivity of his department by implementing strategic project management methods, and streamlining technological processes to save time and improve projects. He believes hard work and loyalty in the workplace is key to success, and lives these ideals out by always striving to learn and improve himself and his skills.
Matt is currently employed as a Software Engineer, but is always open to any opportunities that would challenge him and continue his passsion, to put his extensive skills to good use by creating dynamic, functional and eye-catching applications and sites.
